Esha Gupta takes her character of an IPS officer as a challenge in ‘Chakravyuh’.

Bollywood actress Esha Gupta is playing the character of an IPS officer in Prakash Jha’s upcoming flick ‘Chakravyuh’ and the actress confesses that she was denied by many people initially to play the role in the movie, since it was a de-glam character. We have seen her in glamorous characters in her last two movies Janat 2 and Raaz 3. But this character will be completely different from those two.

Talking about the denial of people to play the character in the movie, Esha told reporters, “Lot of people told me that I should not do this role. It’s a de-glam role, age is also around 30-35 years as she is an IPS officer.” But she took it as a challenge to play the straightforward and de-glam role and hence played it in the movie. What she says, belief of the director on her was the best part of her faith to play the role and hence says “I thought if my director believes in me and he feels that he can get Rhea’s strong character from me, so it can’t get any better.”

Well! During the talk, the actress too revealed a creepy experience while shooting the movie and said, “We shot one sequence in a valley which was close to a Naxalite (Maoist) camp. Arjun (Rampal) and I were scared because Abhay (Deol) and Anjali (Patil) are playing Naxals and so their clothes are such that they (Naxals) will spare them but we feared that they will kidnap me and Arjun.” And she was so much scared that she even wrote a letter to her parents stating the place where they were shooting and wanted to say ‘I love you’ to them, if anything happened to her.

But, she thanks God that nothing happened. The movie is all set to hit the theaters on October 24 and we hope the character of Esha will be equally versatile in this movie like her other two movies.
