Subhash Ghai has always secured a very special in the Hindi film industry as one of the exceptional directors and his place is yet locked with the same fame. But, we had seen the director out of the film fraternity for pretty four long years, since the release of his last Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Yuvvraj in 2008. But, now he is back on track with a love-story musical thriller and is soon going to start work on it.

As per the sources, Mr. Ghai’s upcoming project is going to be named as Kaanchi in which legendary actor Rishi Kapoor is about to play the antagonist. Though no other cast has been decided yet, but reports convey, that the movie is about to hit the theatres on August 15, 2013 on Independence Day.

On the other hand, music recording of the movie has already been started and eminent music directors Ismail Darbar and Salim Suleman have even recorded two songs for the movie. Mr. Ghai is celebrating the 34th anniversary of his production house Mukta Arts on Oct 24 and reportedly the production house has already produced 35 movies, out of which 14 have been directed by Mr. Ghai.

Reporting about this would be celebration from Ghai’s end, added a source, “Come October 24, that also happens to be Subhash Ghai-Rehana Ghai’s anniversary, Mukta Arts will celebrate its 34th Anniversary with a documentary that will screen the production house’s achievements. Over the years Mukta Arts has produced 35 films, out of which fourteen have been written and directed by Subhash Ghai. The director has launched twelve heroines.”

Well, it’s not all from Ghai’s end! The director is even planning to launch more films following the launch of Kanchi. So, let’s wait for the rest of the cast and conjecture about Ghai’s pre-production affinities! What say readers?
