Ram Gopal Verma takes not cinema in 100-cr terms!

Ram Gopal Verma, the ace director and filmmaker of B-town, who is best known for his horror genre of movies, says that never he aims at the 100 crore mark in the industry. RGV, who is reputed in Bollywood for making small budget films, gets candid about the idea of 100 crore and opines so. Before, we have seen him making very small budget flicks like Kaun? and Satya and the producer thinks that these are his greatest achievements in the B-town by keeping himself barred from the thought of 100 crore mark.

Besides, RGV thinks that cost is an issue that must worry the producer and distributors. Confirming the issue he said, “Rather, it should be the concern of I think cost is more the producers’ and distributors’ concern. If I think of Rs.100 crore, I would have never made Kaun? or Satya. It’s a completely different ball game, and it works very well for the people who are into it. I don’t think cinema in that terms.”

Soon RGV is going to bestow the audience one more flick ‘Bhoot Returns’ from his specific genre and he argues that such (horror) movies are best accepted by the audience. He even says that these movies are not only demanded by the audience, but they also enjoy such films. ” I feel people want to see horror films. In DVD stores there are huge racks of horror films, (so) that means there are too many people who enjoy horror films,” he said.

The movie Bhoot Returns is slated for Oct 12 release along with Rani Mukherjee’s Aiyyaa, but RGV seems not bit concerned on the matter. He thinks that there is nothing to worry for him, as releasing a movie is the sole responsibility of the distributors’ and not the makers’. RGV’s next Bhoot Returns features Manisha Koirala, J.C. Chakravarthy and Alayana Sharma in the lead star cast.
