Karan Johar to attain the launch of Olympics in London as a special dignitary!

Ace Bollywood film producer Karan Johar is soon to get counted as one of the top most dignitaries of the world. Couldn’t get? Let’s make it clear. You must not have forgotten, the B-town filmmaker was appointed as the goodwill ambassador for the ‘Britain You’re Invited’ campaign by the Visit Britain agency the previous year and recently Karan has been invited by the agency to attain the Olympics to be held from 27th July to 12th Augst 2012 in London.

The agency has sent an official invitation to Karan on this regard and Karan will join there as one of the 506 dignitaries invited to the event across the globe. The only other person invited to the event from India apart from Karan is Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Karan will join these specially invited grandees in a box, held in reserve for the top celebs of the world and will enjoy the privilege of watching the opening ceremonial.

Karan is much humbled and excited after getting the invitation. When asked about his response to the invitation, he said, “I’m truly humbled and excited, of the honour. Had you asked me a few days ago if I intended to go to London — it’s virtually my second home — during the Olympics, I’d have said, No chance”. Karan has been too hectic for the last few months with the shooting schedule of his imminent movie ‘Student of the Year’ and a reality show that he judges.

However, the film-maker is no way going to ignore the opportunity and hence is all set to fly to London after putting off all his shooting schedules for the weekend. Confirming his visit to the event, he said, The 2012 Olympics is going to be a conglomerate of an epic magnitude. The memory of having participated in it, even as a spectator, is going to stay with me for a lifetime. It is London’s big-ticket weekend and I’m not about to miss it for anything in the world.”

Anyways, we wish Karan a happy journey ahead and also wish him all the best for his upcoming movie ‘Student of the Year’.
