Sanjay Gupta spends Rs 2.6 crore for a single sequence of his upcoming movie!

All of us know that B-town maverick director Sanjay Gupta is busy shooting his upcoming venture Shootout At Wadala that stars the duo bollywood hunks John Abraham and Tushar kapoor in the lead. We too know that Gupta is putting his brand new innovation of mind in the flick after recreating the panorama of the 1970s Mumbai in it, to make it poles apart from that of the other contemporary flicks. And we know, the epic scene will of course let not his efforts go in vain.

But what’s special to discuss about it? ‘Coz it’s already known to everyone. But, obviously it’s not known to anyone that the passionate director has spent around Rs 2.6 crore to arrange just a vintage bus and shoot a single scene in the movie! Is not it awe-inspiring? Wethinks, of course it’s!

Informing about the huge money invested to shoot just a single sequence of the movie, Gupta said, The sequence would have cost us under under a crore, but we had to get a vintage bus which was not available and even when we managed to get one, it wasn’t allowed to enter Mumbai city. Because of that we had to shoot the sequence outside the city, which tripled our budget and we ended up spending more than Rs 2.6 crore.”

On the other hand, some same authentic sense is too witnessed in director Anurag Kashyap as he has spent around RS 26 crore to recreate the city of dreams for his upcoming film “Bombay Velvet,” that stars Ranbir Kpoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead. Then what we must deduce from this? The B-town directors never hesitate to wide open their treasuries to create authenticity in their films. Right na?
