The reel life cop and RAW agent Salman Khan is in reports for accompanying the lines of paramilitary ITBP troops in New Delhi the following month for a half-marathon.  This ace actor of B-town will flag off the half-marathon namely ITBP Run on October 7 from the Jawahar Lal Nehru stadium and is supposed to accompany the troopers a few miles on track, in order to encourage the Indian youth to join the security forces.

What reveal the reports, Salman will bond the event along with many other celebs and sports stars including Yogeshwar Dutt who had bagged a bronze in the 60kg free-style event in the London Olympics. To encourage the youth for joining the event in large numbers, the 46-year-old actor has also at hand recorded a promotional clip for them.

Giving some brief details about the content of Salman’s promotional clip, ITBP chief Ranjit Sinha said, “We need to tell the people and the youth of the country about ITBP. We need young blood to join this elite force… Salman has appealed for the same cause. He will be flagging off the marathon on October 7.”

This year is the golden jubilee celebration occasion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the half-marathon is a part of these merriments. ITBP was formed in 1962 to counteract the Chinese assault and at present the force assimilates near about 60,000 personnel guarding the 3,488km long Sino-Indian border.

However, when the troop is in the juncture of rejoicing, Salamn’s support for the troop and encouragement for the youth to join the force, would of course aggravate many Indian youth to be a part of the Border Police force. This is a very noble attempt from Bhai and we appreciate his attempt from the core of his heart.
