Ranbir Kapoor to play Kishore Kumar in Anurag Basu’s upcoming venture!

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor is a growing talent in Indian cinema and we have seen him playing all those characters that are absolutely difficult for others to handle. Of late, we had seen Ranbir playing a too typical character in his Oscar nominated movie ‘Barfi’ that brought him rave reviews.  However, he is all set to add one tougher task to his directory.

Wanna know what? The actor soon is playing Kishore Kumar in one of Anurag Basu’s upcoming flicks i.e. a biopic of the legendary singer-actor. And what’s the latest development on the issue is that Ranbir has to gain at least 12 to 15 kg weight for portraying the character. As per the reports, Ranbir has to portray three diverse stages in Kishore Kumar’s life and this is what will be a difficult task for the actor.

And what we guess, the actor will take at least 6 months prior preparation to get fit into the character. Confirming the issue, director Basu said, “Ranbir will have to bulk up in the course of the character’s development. Ranbir will have to play Kishore right from the time he was 19 till he turned 58. It is not going to be easy at all for Ranbir.” A source close to the project revealed that Ranbir is not like other stars of the Kapoor Khandan and is much health conscious. But in this case, he has no choice left.

However, Ranbir is too fortunate as Kishoireji’s son Amit Kumar is on board and is ready to guide him on the issue. Basu confirmed this saying, “We’re fortunate to have him with us. However, Ranbir will first complete Besharam with Abhinav Kashyap.” However, script of the movie is yet being written and Basu in collaboration with Soumik Sen is preparing the script.

Well, yet we have seen a handsome and fit Ranbir, but will definitely love to see his bulky avatar once at least. Let’s see how he looks in Kishoreda’s outlook!
