Oh-MY-God

‘OMG!Oh My God’ movie makers ask for donation!

What the heck! Is it really true? Oh My God! What the ‘OMG! Oh My God’ Makers are doing? Doesn’t Khiladi Kumar have enough financial strategy to carry on the shooting of his forthcoming movie? Then why he asks for donation?

Take bit rest guys! We know, such questions will revolve around your scanty mind no sooner than you come across this news. But this revealed truth veils something unrevealed! Wanna know what? Then know that something special i.e. brewing in the minds of the ‘OMG! Oh My God’ makers! It’s just a new tactic to promote their impending movie!  To make the issue more clear, the OMG makers have placed daan petis (donation boxes like the ones in temples) in multiplexes to attract the attention of the ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ spectators towards their forthcoming movie in the name of donation.

Vikram Malhotra, COO Viacom 18 Motion Pictures made it clear saying, “It is for people who believe in God and those who don’t. So we decided to engage the audience in a manner that is thought-provoking. We placed these daan petis (donation boxes) so that people can go back with the message – ‘Aren’t you really bribing God to get a wish fulfilled’? Donation and prayers are offered with an objective rather than solely out of devotion. That is one of the things that the film addresses.”

And reportedly, the audiences in Mumbai have already started donating in the boxes and the filmmakers are looking forward to locate such boxes in 15 other cities soon. We conjecture that such development of the movie makers might help them magnetize the audience towards their movie, but what about the collected money in form of donation? Is it really to be given to any temple trust or will directly get surplussed to the film’s budget? Do you have any prediction on this?
