Madhur Bhandarkar to judge the Cairo International film Festival!

Cairo International Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Cairo, Egypt. Initiating from 1976, the festival has been dominating the Arab world. While, 35th edition of the festival is about to start on November 27, it has come up with a good news for all Bollywood lovers. Reportedly, B-town director Madhur Bhandarkar has been invited to be a part of the international jury in the festival and that’s what has made the director go ecstatic.

Expressing his ultimate happiness, the director said, “I am delighted to be a part of the International Jury for the 35th edition of Cairo International Film Festival. I love the theme that they have – ‘Positive thinking, revolution and freedom’. This is an honour, which I humbly accept.” Mr. Bhandarkar, who is a well-known persona in the industry, last gave us his dream project ‘heroine’ starring Kareena Kapoor in the lead. His contribution as a director to the B-town industry is worth-considering.

The Cairo Film festival i.e. being started on November 27 and will continue up to December 6, will catch up many Arab, African and other international films, workshops and seminars in its to-do list. The festival was last held in 2010 and its forthcoming edition will be a go-getting program for all film lovers. And what we hear, some of the Indian movies like Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath‘, Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Chitrangada’, Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara‘ and Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Paan Singh Tomar‘ are  also scheduled to be screened in the festival.
