‘Disco Deewane’ song from the movie ‘Student Of The Year’!

Do you remember the Disco song of the 80s sung by Pakistani singer Nazia Hussain? You will be surprised to know that the B-town producer-director Karan Johar aka KJo adds it to his Student Of The Year soundtrack. Not this much; he has also planned a worldwide premier for this rework version that will be aired today across sixteen music channels, FM radio and several online podiums. The song depicted on the lead cast Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan will be telecast in the music channels between 8 and 8.30 pm.

Confirming the isuue, said director Karan Johar, “It’s a great adaptation. Vishal and Shekhar came up with the idea of revisiting the song. The picturisation by Remo is super cool and the three debutants have really rocked and rolled to this disco track. I honestly hope the song climbs charts the way we would love it to!”

When we suppose the song is about to create huge hullabaloo in the industry keeping an eye on the popularity of its original version, something such is also expected by many other dignitaries associated with Karan who keep absolute faith on the director. They too think that this remade number by Karan will retain his past records of creating hit songs too.

Opining about the expected popularity of the song, Shridhar Subramaniam, President and Managing Director Sony Music India said, “Our association with Karan goes back to our very first film together Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. We are delighted to continue our uninterrupted association with the hugely anticipated Student of the Year. We have together set and created benchmarks with every one of Karan’s films and his impeccable track record of creating hit songs.”

Produced under Dharma Productions, this upcoming flick of KJo is slated for October 19 release and we expect it to be a hit like any other flick of Karan.
