lo ho gayi party

‘Lo! Ho Gai Party’ to be the first zero budget film of Bollywood.

Zero budget film and that in an industry which these days only boasts of 100 crore marks! Really amazing! Hardly believing also, yet a truth! You will be amazed to know that Bollywood after earning huge name and fame in the global film fraternity for its awesome 100 crore movies, is soon going to launch its first Zero budget movie.

The film entitled as ‘Lo! Ho Gai Party’ is produced by a painter-turned-filmmaker Tejas Padia, who belongs to a small town in Gujurat. The producer is not a brand new face in the industry as we have already seen him before producing the first mobile film of India, Ek Shukravaar in 2006 and now the filmmaker is geared up for his next venture. Isn’t it great?

Definitely! Ask the filmmaker, how he arranged the recquired money to make this zero budjet film and he goes candid saying, “Money was indeed a crucial factor. But we were fortunate enough to come across people who believed in our vision and offered support in the form of trust, patience and resources that played a key role in making Lo…! Ho Gai Party.” Of course, a genuine effort.

He further adds that everything from stationary to the location of the film was borrowed. While most part of the film was shoot at the lavish house of a friend of the filmmaker at Ghatkopar, some other parts were shot at  Bandra and Jogeshwari.

Lo! Ho Gai Party revolves around the story-line of four friends who celebrate one night, ‘coz on of them purchases a secondhand car. The movie was shot with a rented camera in a record 21-day stretch. It features novices along with popular character actors like Manoj Joshi and Satish Kaushik, whom Padia has assisted in the past. All of them acted for free.

The movie is set for Jauary, 2013 online release and chatting about the movie’s release, the excited filmmaker says, “My film is made free of cost and will be shown free of cost.”  We wish him all success!
