Ajay Devgan in ‘Bol Bachchan’.

“It is ridiculous. The matter is in court and the right thing will be done. We have not cheated anybody,” said so actor-producer Ajay Devgan, being alleged to have cheated the Nagpur-based distributor Appu Wadhwani over the all India theatrical rights for his upcoming film Bol Bachchan. Recently, the distributor claimed that Ajay Devgan Films and the Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. sullied the theatre distribution agreement signed between them the previous year.

Reports convey that there was made a contract between the producers of Bol Bachchan and Apu Wadhwani of Hira Laxmi Amusement Pivate Ltd. with a promised amount of 53.20 crore. Even Apu Wadhwani paid the producers 1.01 crore in advance. But now they have made a new agreement with Fox Star Studios on the same project and have violated the previous deal. Hence, the distributor has filed a case in a local court against the producers, urging the court to stop releasing the movie and recompense him the amount he had paid.

But Ajay is quite firm on this issue and says, “We have been requesting him to come and solve the matter, but he is not coming. He can claim whatever he wants. The matter is in court. Nobody is cheating anybody. The court will decide and whatever the court will decide, will be done.”

Well, let the court decide what’s the exact truth and who has really dishonored the theatre distribution agreement. But to our end, we are on keen wait for the movie to release, because it holds a coherent touch of the 1979 comic flick ‘Golmal’. The movie is directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Asin Thottumkal and Prachi Desai in lead roles.
